Swollen Members

October 11 Ballroom

After going through one of the darkest periods of their musical career, Swollen Members are back and sounding more revitalized than ever. The Vancouver based hip-hop trio has somehow managed to persevere through drug addiction, label collapses, and legal troubles to create their 2009 release "Armed To The Teeth". While writing the album was necessary to empty the skeletons that have been piling up in the group’s closet, the album was a departure from Swollen Members trademark sound.

Midnight Ramblers Rollingstone Tribute

October 20 Gastropub

In the span of four short years – 1968 to 1972 – the Rolling Stones recorded what is arguably some of the most important music of their career. As the Beatles were preparing their eventual retreat from the spotlight, the Stones forged solidly forward, releasing groundbreaking albums Beggar’s Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main Street.

Moncton’s Midnight Ramblers – consisting of members of The Divorcees, The Monoxides, East Coast Love Story, and others – pay tribute to this iconic era of the Stones’ career with a rousing set of material that captures the spirit and rebellion that inspired the original music.

The night begins (with instruction) and ends (sweatily) the same way. And in between there is nothing but love.

But what happens before and after each one of these events—art, the music theory, the travel, the sacrifice, the lonely, the video rendering—goes unseen. Now is the time for it to be heard.

November 9 Gastropub

Come have EVOLVE flashbacks as 3 bands who performed at the festival this year get together for a night of fun in Moncton!

The Drug Rugs in one word are bubbly. In one sentence they are a jangly, indie-rock band from Halifax with lyrics worthy of being on a t-shirt. Recalling and reinventing sounds from bands like the Smiths, Prince, The Strokes, St. Vincent, and Iggy Pop, the Drug Rugs own a sound that is modern and unmistakably their own.
Nebullama are a funk-flavored psychedelic rock band from Moncton who draw influences from blues to disco, and everything in between. Freshly armed with a new band member, this will be their first Moncton show featuring their new lineup and they cannot wait to show off their new dynamic and fresh material.
Bear Le Friends from Halifax are excited to perform in Moncton for the first time! For fans of well-crafted songs, beautiful vocal harmonies, ripping blues guitar, wonderful stage presence and a rhythm section with enough pocket to make JNCO go out of business, you'll bear le be able to contain yourselves.

The Fabulously Rich a Tragically Hip Tribute

November 10 Gastropub

The Fabulously Rish a live tribute to The Tragically Hip. The band formed in 2016 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The idea came about when the news broke that Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The original idea was to reunite a group of old friends, who began their music careers in a high school rock n roll band known as Adam's Eve and present a tribute to one of the bands they all loved, and most frequently covered in their sets. When only 4 of the 5 members could participate, the band recruited TJ Lewis to round out the line up. The Fabulously Rich has come together to pay tribute to this monumental Canadian band, while at the same time, helping to raise money for the Downie Wenjack Fund making donations for each show they play.

Stiff Little Fingers w The Mahones

Presented by Sonic Concerts

November 14

Stiff Little Fingers were formed in 1977 in Belfast, Ireland. Along with the likes of the Clash, Sex Pistols, The Jam, Buzzcocks, Undertones, Sham 69, Stranglers, et al – Stiff Little Fingers were at the forefront of the punk movement. They wrote initially about their own lives, growing up at the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, in songs like "Suspect Device" and "Wasted Life". In November of '77, they released those two songs on their own Rigid Digits label, and sent a copy to BBC Radio One DJ John Peel, who started playing it every night.

Milk & Bone

November 23 Gastropub

Montreal’s Milk & Bone(Laurence Lafond-Beaulne and Camille Poliquin) create melodies that are both dreamy and harrowing. Made up of electronic textures and layered synths, Lafond-Beaulne and Poliquin’s sonic universe distinguishes itself from the electro-pop genre thanks to their perfectly-paired vocal colours. Their mesmerizing harmonies explore the darker aspects of love, friendship and lust. Their tightly-knit bond, palpable in their creative process and throughout the album, is a key part of their live shows.

It's this tension, this dither, that lives at the centre of Queens of the Breakers. Three players - friends, comrades, music-makers, all of them trying to play in sync. Three bandmates - each of them fumbling, remembering, trying to invent something together.
